Night Tunes 11-26-12

Latino music is widely popular across the contemporary world. The seeds of that popularity were sown in the late 1960s by such performers as Puerto Rican native Jose Feliciano. You'll hear a few tunes from Feliciano's breakthrough year of 1968 on this week's program. Much of the rest of this week's music comes from the north--from Canadian guitarist Jesse Cook and the all-female group the Wailin' Jennys, and from Jeff Pianki, an engaging singer-songwriter from Michigan. There's also some warm, atmospheric piano music from sunny Italy.
