Alt-country guru and Ohio native Buddy Miller got himself and three of his guitar-playing friends together in 2010 to form the Majestic Silver Strings, a group dedicated to giving old country tunes a new twist. Selections from the group's 2011 release are the bedrock of this edition of the program. You'll also hear two classics by Patsy Cline, an instrumental selection by Rodney Crowell, and some memorable non-country sounds by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, The Horse Flies, and Acoustic Alchemy.
