This series highlights rural life and culture as presented by the voices of the students, many of whom have grown up in rural communities in Ohio and beyond. Eight students in Dr. Kristi Lekies' Rural Sociology 1500 class at the Ohio State University have produced segments all about Ohio. We discuss everything from the Amish population to our drinking water.

Former JSA State Governor, Weston Lindner, talks with us about how high school students can be civically active and about the benefits that come with being involved in an organization like the JSA. We also take a look at youth voting trends, teaching professionalism to high schoolers in rural schools, and an opportunity for students to express environmental issues to the public through displaying art.

Finally we connect to the wonderful world of birds and what the OSU Ornithology club is doing to promote appreciation of the many birds in Central Ohio and beyond.
