# 157: Emmys Unfiltered

59:35 minutes (54.55 MB)

Tonight on the show, the Emmys. Who will win and who will lose on Emmy night? HBO won 29 Emmys at the Creative Arts Emmys last Saturday, with Game of Thrones winning eight of them, needing only one win to tie the record set by The West Wing in 2000, and two to set a new record, on Sunday night. Mad Men can be alone on top of the Drama mountain with a record-setting fifth Drama Series win on Sunday night. Game of Thrones leads overall with 24 nominations, more than twice as many as the new two shows apiece, House of Cards and Mad Men, which both got 11 nods each. Modern Family is vying for a record-setting sixth Comedy Series Emmy, and standing in the way are (besides a lack of Writing and Directing nods for the five-time defending Comedy Champs) Veep (in a Presidential Election Cycle already forming) and the new kid on the online block, Transparent, with nine and 11 nominations, respectively.

The 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards air Sunday night at 8PM (after the Cowboys/Eagles game) on Fox, hosted by Andy Samberg.
