# 382 - No, No Nanette: The Golden Tribute Show

59:07 minutes (54.14 MB)

Tonight on the show, 50 years of the successful Tony-winning revival of "No, No Nanette", first written for the stage in 1924, adapted to films in 1930 and 1940, and then revived on Broadway in 1971. We are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the 1971 Revival, which helped spark the revival of the glitz and glamour of Broadway that year.

In September 1971, "The Lawrence Welk Show" did a show as a tribute to the composer of the musical, Vincent Youmans (1896-1944), which includes songs he penned, including a medley of songs from "No, No Nanette", which Welk, his band and cast recorded songs from that year, as well: https://welkmusicalfamily.blogspot.com/2010/02/no-no-nanetteyou-cant-dri...
